Department Of Duh!

I refuse to speculate on whether Madeleine McCann's parents had anything to do with her disappearance, but I'd like to address the outrage surrounding the police questioning and suspecting them. Get over it. They were suspects from the very beginning. In every child abduction case the police investigate the parents. It would be incredibly stupid not to, and in many cases the investigation finds one or two guilty parents. Deal with it. If they're innocent, they have nothing to worry about. If not, then won't you in the angry mob feel stupid?

I think part of the problem is how Europes idea of leaving kids alone at home, or outside of the restaurant in a pram conflict with the American ideological views of childrearing. That being said (btw Europes birthrate is in the negatives, so what do they know) this is an American kind of crime in a small Portugal town. Most of the missing in EU are usually held for ransom and when paid they set the victim free. Much honor among thieves in EU.
In fact the town should have called Scotland Yard to investigate, but if their politicians are anything like New Orleans politicians...........
